What is my Easter Egger mixed with?

I am quite aware of the histories of those two particular breeds. I do see where it mentions hatcheries, but it seems like the author's personal opinion. Like I said, I know for a fact one hatchery was selling true Araucanas prior to 1996. Since then, that hatchery sells the common Easter Eggers, but it is also under different ownership. So, all you have is an article where someone states their opinion, and it does not say quite what you did, and I am supposed to blindly believe that? I think that is part of why the poultry fancy is in the state that it is in, where people abandon facts and common sense, and follow what someone else has to say. Someone with experience can say something, and no one will believe it, because they heard something someone made up first. Yes, hatcheries sell Easter Eggers today, but that does not mean they sold them in the early 1900s. So, in your mind, people with Creme Leg bars have Easter Eggers, and if they are accepted as an APA breed, the people who have them now, will have been selling Easter Eggers, since they are not an established breed yet?

Wow! Thank you so much for sharing all of this information. I feel so duped. My chicks are most likely EE and not Ameraucana. And I purchased them for my children to show for 4H. They'll be disqualified for sure. The good news is that they are wonderful and definitely bonded with us like our pets. They fall asleep on our laps and really just want to be with us wherever we are. I am going to start potty training them soon! So, we may never win a show. But, they won our hearts with personality plus. Our one chick is already doing a trick! Plus...hopefully we will have delicious eggs one day.

Perhaps you would prefer this history of the breeds, slightly more in-depth and mentions lots of names for you to look up and research -

Was that directed at me? Did you not see where I said I was quite aware of the histories of the two breeds (Araucana and Ameraucana)? I asked you two days ago to show me proof that hatcheries have been breeding Easter Eggers since the early 1900s, as you had made that statement, and you have not come up with anything. If something has no facts to support it, why say it? Just curious, what is your experience with poultry? Are you a youth?

What exactly are you wanting to know?
You mentioned you were quite aware of their histories. I was curious if your take was different then the info the other poster posted links to or the same?

That mainly talks about the birds coming to this country, the separation of Araucanas and Ameraucanas based on breeder preferences, and then focuses on Ameraucanas. There is a good bit of back story before the birds came to this country that would explain a lot. The short version is that there were several types of chickens in Chile that were bred together, and that became the foundation of the Auracana, and also Ameraucana. Like I also said, I do know at least one hatchery bred true Araucanas at one point to prior to the mid 1990s. I also remember seeing true Ameraucana Bantams advertised in a hatchery catalog in the mid to late 1980s.
