I'm not sure what it could be either, I would suggest taking her to a vet but that could be pricey and if they dont know either than its just a waste of money
I dont think Cindy would like that though. well my husband wants to cut it off. I dont think its on her nostril but I will check to make sure. Thanks guys.
I am pretty sure EE (Easter Egger) and Ameraucana are the same thing... True Auracanas have no tails. pretty sure...
Ameraucanas are a breed seperate from EE's. This is my Blue Wheaten roo:
EE's are sold from hatcheries as Ameraucana's which is where the confusion comes in. Google the Ameraucana's Breeders Club. One of our members is the Western District rep for them - pips&peeps.
If it's not causing any problems I say leave it. Maybe cover it with a magic marker so they stop pecking at it. If you remove it, it may start bleeding.
I would leave that growth alone and only be concerned about it if it starts affecting the chicks vision. People are born with weir things that never get in the way, and so are most species.
