Just checked him. Turns out he is the one making it worse by scratching at it. I put ointment on it and tried to protect it with a bandage but he just keeps scratching that off. I am about out of ideas..

You can make a bootie for his feet, just like you would if he had bent toes. That would stop him from scratching at it. Be sure to change the bootie every other day. Their feet/toes actually grow fast enough you can mess them up leaving the same bootie on over 2 days. He would be able to walk fine, but not scratch. In a few days, most of it should be healed up, and not itching anymore.

Please do not try to wrap up the chick in any way. You could accidentally cause more harm by doing so.
