Wow! I The beads are awesome!

I macrame and that would be SO kewl with some of the stuff I do! I've been thinking of making a guitar strap for a friend of mine who also happens to LOVE chickens!

This is a kewl thread...it would definitely encourage me to do something creative...I think?

I can't wait to see more!!!

I have put up about 7 web pages and wrote every day on my blog. Plus I have been working on the dynamics of some of the characters of my book. All are slow going but help keep me busy.

Hey,
For all of you that are interested, the link to my Etsy shop is:

http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5379646

or you can see the black and white chicken beads under my old user ID(I'm changing it to match my website address!). Here's that link:

I'm still tweaking the shop and have yet to take the pictures of my new beads because they are still in the kiln!

If you don't want to wait for the shop to be built, PM me with a color combo and I'll get to the torch and see what I come up with and I'll send you pics. It will take a couple of days if you can wait!

Thanks!
Cindy

I made pinecone turkeys with my DGD using our chiken feathers for the tails for centerpieces on the families Thanksgiving table. My niece in law will beg me for them, I may give her one.
Also DH and I finally weatherproofed the temporary chicken coop. It rained all day , when it started to rain too hard to use the power tools we had to stop, the roof will get put on this weekend.
Other than that I have been baking all week.

I didn't do anything creative (does making rice krispie squares count...lol) ...just wanted comment about those adorable little chicken beads.

Cindy: just had to say I love your dog! (we have 2 Jack Russells)

Well, this week I finished two scarves- one out of that confetti sort of yarn and one woven (on my daughter's child's loom from ages ago) in chenille. They came out pretty well. I have never tried some of the weirder yarns, but I found these at the local Job Lot store and they were cheap, so I tried it. I am also in the middle of another winter scarf for me made out of a furry tan yarn that is knitting up to look like dog fur.

I finished up a gourd birdhouse for a family member...

and gave Skip (doc_gonzo) a nice surprise. He's been wanting to have his 20 year old leather jacket refurbished. So I got the supplies (shoe polish, mink oil & brushes), and got his old jacket looking like new.

Old jacket...

After I finished with it...

He was rather excited when he saw the finished product. He kinda reminded me of Linus and his blanket (from the Peanuts).

Dawn great looking bird house! I have had a gourd sitting around waiting for me to do something with it. Keep going back and forth between a few ideas, maybe this will get me going.
