What is our mystery chick?

Ya, your barred rocks are to dark to either one to be a boy. Your Orpington seems really light and fluffy, for some reason it reminds me of show quality Orpingtons. Hmmm. But the solid black is very much like my Australorp when she was little. Did you agree that if they didn't have a certain breed that they would give you an equal amount chick instead? Maybe that is why. They are all very cute by the way. :)

Thank you all for the help! The roo? in question has always held him/herself differently. More upright. And feathered out a little bit slower. Here is a picture of his/her comb compared to the other Barred Rock.

Roo?

Pullet

I'm hoping we are wrong since our neighborhood won't allow roosters and we have grown quite attached.

Our buff is still a little white. Is that a bad thing?

Thanks again for all the great information!
in this pic it looks like a buff orp pullet and both barred rocks are pullets

Both of those barred rocks are pullets. Combs are tiny, legs are thin.. Barring is dark and uneven :) Yep pullets. Definitely. No doubt in my mind!

It's been a while since I have posted here but I wanted to follow up with the final outcome. We ended up with 2 Barred Rocks, a Buff Orpington and a Black Australorp as our mystery chick. All girls and all laying delicious eggs!
