No I didn't. However the egg itself was very rubbery and difficult to pick up. I've had many lash eggs in the past but this was so strange with the protrusion!
While trying to be funny, my husband said it looked like an after sex cigarette!! Lol

If you still have it cut it open. Suspected lash eggs should always be dissected. In this case I don't see how this isn't a soft shelled/shellless egg, but lash material can possibly present inside as well.

A soft shelled egg is not a lash egg.
I think what you have there is just a soft shelled egg with a 'tail' of membrane.
Cutting it open would be good.

I wish I had it but my husband disposed of it already! What is the difference between soft shelled and lash??

A soft shelled egg could be an oopsie from a brand new layer or possibly a bird that's not getting enough calcium in their diet

A lash egg is from a bird with a serious infection going on in their lady parts.

If you've been multiple of either of these two types of eggs, then you need first to check how your feeding and figure out exactly who is laying them.
