Is that a fleshy bump I see under the vent, on the tail side? If so, that's a boy.
He just started crowing literally this morning. LOL WELLTibetan, like I said in the last thread. By the time it is vent sexable you will probably have heard a crow, so keep watching and waiting! Still too young for foam or eggs.
Yup. First crow right this morning.Well, then you might have to wait a little while until you know for sure. If you ever hear this, you'll know you have a boy.
He's like 5 weeks I think? How old is this bird?
Ah, you might have some time before you can tell, unless he crows. He's like 5 weeks I think?
That actually is the plan. I wanted to know so I had time to properly rehome him. Rather than end up on someone's table for dinner. They were all raised together, the female and the button I'm not in a rush to sort. They will have their own flocks soon so don't worry! You might be better off getting more Coturnix hens and satisfying that roo. The button male should have his own flock of his own species, I don’t really think your concerns are two males, more that you have two species.
