I've been told by a few people she was a black and tan coonhound mix. It would be cool if she was, but I think if she was,she would have longer ears.

I would guess coonhound/lab+ mix.

If I had a mix I think it would be fun to do the DNA test. I can't speak for the specific brands mentioned on here but I don't think it's a scam. There are a limited number of breeds in the list though so if someone's dog has an "off-list" breed in it's lineage it won't show up.
