Hi! Alright, so I have 6 chickens.. 2 are mysteries to me.. One i believe to be a red sex link, and the other I thought was an easter egger, but yesterday she laid her first egg, a brown speckled egg.. sadly i do not have a photo of it and it has since been eaten.. but it left me wondering whether or not she was an easter egger.. and my red sex link just doesn't look like the pictures I've seen, but maybe its just different colorings..? The EEs were sold to us as Americuanas and then the RSL was sold as a "sex link" from Tractor Supply.. My EEs all look quite similar, the only distinguishing factor is the amount of black they have on their backs.. Brownie, is a brownish grey color. Wilma (the hen in question) has a medium amount of black on her back, Harriet, has near to none, but still some, and Queen has a whole ton. I will add pictures down below so you can see, and I will also post some while they were baby chicks.. I added the others so you can see them as a comparison. Wilma and Bertha are the ones that I'm really questioning, but I guess if anyone else is not what I think they are...And just as a review.. Wilma laid what I believe to be her first egg yesterday - brown speckled, Harriet - green eggs, Brownie - bluish green eggs, Queen - green eggs, Bertha - plain brown eggs, Spaghetti Jo(white leghorn - not pictured) - white eggs.
