What IS she?

yes broody breed. if looking at pics, remember that hatchery stock can look really different from show stock. the difference is especially extremely apparent as for cornish. show stock are much much much heavier, shorter feathered and very thick legged.

The city only allows for up to five hens, no roos... I'm wondering if he'd let me (her) keep one or two if she hatched em. ;)

That explains what happened a few months ago.. I thought she was sick because she wouldn't leave the next box for two days... she was all puffed up and cranky... LOL..

These are my first chickens ever, and I've read about broodiness, but it never dawned on me that could be what was causing her to act like that.. she got over it pretty quickly. Now I'll know if she does it again.
