I've never seen or heard of pinless peepers for ducks, but then I'm a chicken person and don't know much about ducks (although I've had a few). I would suggest posting this question on our duck section at https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/42/ducks, and take advantage of our duck experts there.

Hey Michael! I read up a little bit more on the pinless peepers and I guess they do work to stop feather plucking of other chickens, but the chickens wearing them don't like them much and many times will just lay there because they r so frustrated (u can imagine) so some stopped using them. I think I will keep my bullies isolated from the others for now. It is a pain shuffling everyone around but it seems to be working and I feel much better about things and it looks like some of the feathers are growing back slowly, thank God.

I will try the peepers as a real last resort :)

Go with whatever works for you. :o)

Right Michael. Just thought I would throw that in for any one else considering to use the peepers . . . . . but it's not like it's a big investment . . . they r very inexpensive :)

I am one to use the heat lamp when the temps drop to single digits. Some folks say, oh nooo, what if the power goes off. Well, it usually doesn't go off for long, even if it's for a couple of hrs., which is very rare, they will be fine. I baby my girls. They are out and about in the paths that we shovel for them during the day, then snuggle down in the coop at night.
