What is the best breed of orntemental pheasent is best for beginners

Red or yellow goldens are a good beginner bird,as well as silvers,Amherst or reeves.

With a lot of work you may be able to tame them.Goldens are a little easier to tame then the others.

yeah they are...I just picked up 7 yellow goldens which are two months old and I just got like five minutes ago two of them to eat from my hand a couple of strings of lettuce...start by throwing a little out in front of you and just sit down...if they come up to you then dangle it in front and eventually with a lot of time they will eat from your hands...I spend a lot of time with them all day every day...I just picked those birds up about a month ago...I almost got the redgolden hens a couple of them to eat out of my hand but they were still to scared..and I just picked them up two days ago...so with work you can do it

the goldens are the easiest imo, silvers kill each other bad, so do ringnecks, amhurst would be good also...Roost
