what is the best brooding hen?

Old English Games and other game breeds are the best, from what I've read, followed closely by Silkies and Kraienkoppes. Several other breeds like Cochins and some Orps are likely to go broody, but OEG are nearly 100%.

I have either a cochin or orpington, not sure, that will set on NOTHING for the longest time. The only reason i leave her broody all the time is that she makes this HORRIBLE, long drawn out noise when she is not broody. It is sub-human...I mean sub-chicken!
