What is the BEST CHICKEN BREED?

I'm not trying to hijack but where can I get some of those their so pretty! Also I have some golden laced cochins that I think are gorgeous but that could be just me

this one's not mine but it looks a lot like my hen.

I don't know where you could get Speckled Sussex in America as I'm in Australia. Sorry!

Those Golden laced cochin's look just like Wyandottes, but with hairy feet. They are both beautiful breeds, oh i wish i could get them all!

We really don't.

Faverolles are rare here - it was only by chance I was able to come by one.

We have hardly any of the breeds you have access too - Marans are quite expensive and hard to come by here.
We also don't have Ameraucanas I don't think.

BUT - we don't have to worry about the predators like you do.

I know exactly how you feel. I keep looking through this old catalog and thinking. "I want that one and that one and definitely THAT one!!" Then I look out at my property covered in animals lol

My house is full of animals too. I have had every type of animal possible, and i still want more. Chickens have been my favorite though, ugh if only my yard was bigger.
