What is the best chicken for meat??

My husband and I have decided to raise some chickens for meat. What should we raise? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

I'd probably go cornish x your first time. They are nearly impossible to get attached too. They also taste the most like the chicken you are used to eating (better, but similar). The heritage breeds I raised up and slaughtered were full of personality, i had them
Quite a bit longer...and my husband would not eat them. Lol. Men...
