What is the best/coolest thing about your coop?

I like my equipment/feed area, it makes things really nice and easy.

All door hardware on the coop itself is solid brass. Not really necessary, but it looks cool.

This is our "happy coop" by Dru of www.happycoops.com. That's him putting the final touches on our second coop from him. I love that he added the redwood trim around the 2 windows...so that it match our first coop. But the 'nifty' thing is that there is a linoleum floor in the coop that I can slide out to clean. And if it's really hot, I can leave the linoleum floor out and the girls have a mesh floor that keeps them ventilated.

First the basics of my coop existed when I bought the property. Other than fencing it has cost me nothing! I built it out of pallets and scrap wood. The center of the chicken house thing (it is basically a three car garage) is where I can collect eggs, feed the birds (50# at a time in the homemade feeders) and water them with the 55 gal drum attached to the automatic water nipple system. The coop they sleep in is in this central part and i have access to the coop from this side too. All the dropping drop to the ground so no real clean up

I also store feed and anything else in this area and now 10 pullets too.

LOW maintenance is what I wanted!

There are two things that I like about my coops,dh put ropes on all the poop doors so I don`t have to go in the runs just pull on the ropes and they are open.Also the poop boards under the roosts,it really cuts down on the amonia smell and humidity in the winter time.

Best thing about my coop: its 8'x8' in a run of 12'x20' and it only cost about $100.00 to build.
