What is the best/coolest thing about your coop?

I am very happy that our run & coop is 100% hardware cloth to prevent rodents from eating the chicken's food!
This also enables us to leave the pop door to the run open, so they put themselves to bed & let themselves out in the morning.

I also luv the dutch door my DH made, I will be able to fill the hanging feeder in the winter without completely opening the door.

I have a bunch of photos on my Hen House page ~ good luck with yours!

Best thing about my coop is that it was built on a trailer that I wanted my husband to get rid of for YEARS. What a great compromise...the eyesore trailer is "gone", I have chickens and a coop on wheels that I can move about the yard, AND he gets to KEEP his trailer. Win Win Win!
Probably not quite the answer you were looking for, but that's the best thing about my coop

Hi, I like that the cage/coop I built is wrapped in hardware cloth. I've been so nervous since we purchased a coop kit with 1" wiring and I knew even as a newbie that 1/2" was the way to go. Now I am just working on the floor!

I like that my coop has outside nesting boxes and the feeder is filled on the outside as well. Planning on an auto pop-door that I'm sure will me another favorite thing. I'm not naturally an early riser.

That's why I LOVE my autodoor...I'm not naturally a FUNCTIONAL/COHERENT early riser...lol.

I love my pop doors on my Silkie/Cochin shed and my Peachy duck coop. I have more than 12 doors to open and close every day and the pop doors are the easiest ones and very sturdy.

I love my coop. It is called Fowl Territory and has a baseball theme. All the door handles are antique Louisville sluggers and the ramp is painted white with red stripes like the ticks on a baseball. We used hardware cloth all around, buried down and across a foot each ana have that covered with marble chips....no predator problems! The pop door looks like the one the keebler elves have in the tree and it is so cute. All the doors drop down for easy cleaning and the roosts are removable. Only problem is we now have the chicken bug and will have to expand a bit as we are expanding the flock from 5 to 9. We also have to increase our ventilation after going through the summer from hell!

there isn't anything "fancy" about my coop and it still needs some upgrading. But i'd have to say the best thing about my coop is that it is secured. i built the coop/run on top of chicken wire and used bricks for the floor inside the coop. i also lined outside/inside the whole coop/run with bricks and covered with dirt/gravel. The run is secured in with fencing and chicken wire wrapped around it to prevent small pests getting in.
