What Is The Best Food For My Hens?

Hello

I want to start by thanking anyone first for there advice....
I haven't been a good chicken mommy, I have been buying whatever is on sale for there food. I wasn't even thinking this was messing them up and probably not allowing me to get the most eggs out of my 10 laying hens. I have been averaging about 3 eggs a day. I was under the impression that my 10 hens were descent egg layers. I have 6 EE 2 Rhode Island Whites and two fizzles. How many should I get with 10 hens? You know just an approximate.
My question is what is the best food for my hens health and egg laying capability. I will slowly introduce it to them and stick to it. I PROMISE, NO MORE BARGAINS FOR ME... LOL

aprox 7 eggs a day I would say and you should feed a egg layer feed either crumbles or pellets
