We recently lost a laying chicken to a neighbor's dog. She technically belonged to another neighbor, but came to our house every day to hang out and laid an egg in our coop. I miss her and her eggs so we are thinking of taking 2 or 3 older chickens from another neighbor. We have a fly pen with a coop. We have a dog run that we use for temp fostering dogs and guineas and their keets and I was thinking we could keep them in their for a few days. We have 5 guineas that are a little over 3 years old, 3 guineas that are about 2 years old and 3 keets that are about 5 months old. How do we go about properly blending them with our guinea flock?
