What is the best way to feed chickens yogurt?

I fed my chicks their first batch of yogurt mixed with feed this am. The young chicks loved it! The older ones sort of turned up their beaks at it, but the tamest one nibbled it off my finger and seemed to like it. I mixed about 3 parts grain mix to 1 part yogurt.

I feed it one of 3 ways
1.sit the bowl down and run for it if I want to keep clean
2.Sit down and feed it to them from a spoon to make shore that every one gets some P.S. you WILL get covered in yogurt doing this.
3.In winter add it to oatmeal and do one of the two above methods

I put my yogurt in a low sided bowl...at first the girls cautiously walked around the bowl,

i use an icecube tray and slop it into the holes, sprinkle dry oatmeal or cornmeal over it and they devore it - it looks like they are at a buffett line when they go to it!!

Sigh. I keep trying to get my 3 week olds to eat yogurt. So far all they really do is walk in it. I even tried the "sprinkle starter on top" trick. It's so much fun trying to get yogurt off feathered feet. ;-)

I guess I'm pretty greedy when it comes to yogurt

. The only time they get it is when I've finished a cup of Chobani (greek yogurt) vanilla, I wipe the excess out with a piece of bread and toss it in the run. The stuff is just too expensive for me dole it out to them in large amounts.
