I was wondering how to properly hold a hen so it doesn't flap it wings in ur face
Hold them around their wings up against your body. As long as you hold over their wings, they won't flap. Pick them up with a hand over each wing, then tuck to your body and you can hold them with one hand. (one wing against your body and your arm over the other wing)
Okay thanks !!!! I tried that but my chicken does not like being held so it freaked out and starting squirming and kicking the air
Hold it longer, talk to it and pet it.
And feed her treats. (easiest way to a chickens heart is through it's stomach)
okay i will try that tomorrow
Make sure you hold them firmly enough that their wings can't slip out of your grasp, too.
hahaha i love that and it is very true they seem to like me better then my sister cause i feed them more
