Well, I'm sure lot's of us have some difficulty spelling.
The spelling you used though is very typical of what is used at hatcheries and thus feed stores and some folk not in the know. Most claim it's a "representation" of the original breed. It's very confusing for a lot of folks who are just starting out.
When people do sell Ameraucana, they are always sold under their color variety name... such as black, blue, wheaten, silver, etc... If someone does not state a color it is often an Easter Egger, which are fine birds. Just not pure Ameraucana. If you want to post pics or are unsure of what yours are... we would be glad to help with confirming identification.
Also, Ameraucana will not be sold for the average feed store price of $3-4 per chick. They are usually closer to $18-20.
I'm just sharing this stuff for informational purposes, since many of us are here to learn.
