What is the breed of this hen and how can I tell the sex of her chicks

My guess is the hen's father was barred - probably BR
Her mother was something duckwing. brown leghorn? game?
What kind of rooster has she been with?
If the rooster is not barred then only the male chicks will be barred
you'll be able to see it in the first little wing feathers

Thank you all so much for your replies and comments

My rooster is a Cuckoo Maran. There are 5 with all black and 8 with a yellow spot on their head (man, I hope the black ones are the boy ones). Its funny that she would be mixed since the guy who bought all of those chickens got them from a big, well known breeding company... just shows you that nature will find a way, lol. So, the boys will get barrs on their wings and the girls won't? It will be interesting to see what they look like since they are all mixed up.

Because she herself is a cross those chicks will have to be sexed the old fashion way of large legs, early comb development and of course a young scratchy crow for the boys. The spots on heads are only indications of the young being cuckoo patterned and I don't believe will be sex linked.

Black chicks with a white dot on their head will be barred. Can't tell sex though, b/c mom is barred, too, and not purebred, so she could be carrying other color genes (could and is.

I personally would guess her to be a Dominique/Game cross b/c she looks part game to me for sure, and she has barring and pea or rose comb genes. Her comb is a straight comb crossed with either a pea or rose, definitely not a straight comb by itself. Dominiques are barred with a rose comb. Or she could be some completely other mix and just happens to have those genes from somehwere. She definitely looks at least 1/4 game to me, though.

The spot on the head deals with sexlinks, the spot being the male. It happens with black sexlinks when youve got a Rhode Island Red Roo, and A Barred Rock hen. She looks like a Rock mix, so its possible that they can be sexed that way. Im not sure that Cuckoo Marans can be color sexed though, but maybe.
I think she might be a BR and a BO cross. I had one of those once, at she looked kinda like your hen. BO's lay really light pinkish tan eggs, too.

x2 The chicks won't be sex-linked cause the daddy's barred/cuckoo patterened, that blows the whole deal. You'll just have to wait for sex characteristics.

Looks like it will all just be a surprise huh?
