What is the difference between the Indian black shoulder peacock and Indian blue shoulder peacock. Please share pictures of your peafowl as well. Thank you

Blackshoulder can show up in any color. It's a pattern gene, not a color. India blue is a color. You can can have an India blue blackshoulder, and the difference is that, as it sounds, in males the shoulders and wings are black instead of wild pattern. The hens look quite different than regular india blue.

This is an India Blue blackshoulder:

There are 19 different colors in Indian blue ... so 19 different types of Black shoulder. The females are similar ... there are often problems to distinguish them.

My question is ...
You don't find that the MALE blue BS is 1 point darker than the normal Indian blue?
They are born off-white and in their plumage the black color increases up to 4/5 years.
A two-month-old male is clearer than a yearling ... etc ...

Can a black shoulder male mate with the blue shoulder female peahen?
