I'm having trouble finding the genotype of a broad-breasted white turkey. The only thing I can find on white turkeys is for the White Holland, which is bronze-based if brown-eyed and black-based if blue-eyed. Was the broad-breasted white selectively bred from the White Holland for large breast size? In which case, I guess the genotype would be the same, b+b+cc. A friend of mine has crossed a BBW hen with a Royal Palm tom, hen was brown-eyed--the offspring are kinda Oregon Gray looking. I'm just trying to help her out with her breeding genetics since I'm interested in that. Anybody? Thanks.
