I am considering (again) trying to hatch some Wheaton Ameracaunas or EE...no prefernce. But all the incubators look expensive!!

What inexpensive ones are reliable? Do the exist?? Are there any in the $50~60 range??

Honestly, I do pretty good with my Little Giants. The Hovabator I have is really good too but its not mine lol. I have chicks hatching in my LG as I write this and there was absolutely NO temp spikes

You may want to get a turner though. They help A LOT!!!!

Thanks for the input, guys! Which model number do you have on your Little Giant? There seem to be a lot of them.

Country - I couldn't follow the link to the incubator

Kelly if you want honesty here it is. Low price and good incubator do not go together in the same sentence. If you search here about incubators, you will find most people are very disappointed with the lower priced ones. There are those that are incredibly happy with them, but they are a minority.

If you get an LG ask for advice on how to use it.
There are a few simple quirks to overcome with it but,
it will put out good hatches if you are aware of them.

I would stake my hatch % against a Brinsea, Cabinet whatever and can keep up just fine.

I have 10 LG's with hatch rate between 80-95% (depending on eggs) usually with a few 100%.

How often do I check my LG's? Once every 3 days to check humidity.

I have a lg #9200 still air.
It was about $50.00. I also bought an egg turner because I work weird hours
and cannot be certain I will be available when needed. It cost almost as much as the incubator.
Seems to do fine..holds temp evenly.

Good luck
