What is the longest you have waited for eggs?

Just wondering how long it can possibly take a chicken to start laying. What is the latest # of weeks and with what type of chicken? So far, from reading the BYC, 34 is the longest.. I am at 30 with my Jersey Giants. Anyone?

3 months. We dont know the girls ages either

Usually 5-7 months as I look at my little chicks and think, boy, you guys better lay me some eggs.

Well, I am taking the advice of another on the board and posting chicken and dumplings recipe in their coop.

My bantam cochin pullet is 35 weeks old not one egg yet.

My EE pullet started in late Sept and quit mid October.

I will be looking into better winter producers @ the feed store come spring. Thinking either BO or RIR's....
