It is a very open ended question, but I am guessing you are trying to decide what breed to get and sell the chicks when you start hatching. I can only speak from my experience in my area. Barred rocks, sex-links, and Orpingtons sell well around here, but most feed stores also carry them. My #1 seller out of 5 breeds is the cuckoo marans. They don't lay the chocolate eggs of the coppers, but are very dependable layers, and nice birds. They are also a great table bird. I sell them as fast as I can hatch them, but they are also on the lower end of the price range. I sell the pullets for the same price as my hybrid layers. I have more expensive breeds, but also less demand for those breeds. If you are looking for one breed to start with that has a good chance of selling, then I recommend the cuckoo marans.
