$$$What is the most expensive chicken you have brought or sold?$$$

$150 for a trio of light brown leghorn bantams. That was over 40 years ago. They were good quality and I had fun and success showing their get for several years until poultry showing "burned me out."

£8 for light sussex pullet
£10 for my black silkie (first bird only laid 2 eggs in 10 month) begrudged pet lol

I still have a Brazilian cock that will be seven years old in the spring. In his younger days, his brothers sold for $500 each. Far as I know, he`s the last remaining specimen of his bloodline in the US. He still makes great young`uns, but the reason I kept him is he`s a blinker (missing an eye)...........Pop

i recently paid 75 for a trio of SQ mille fleur OEGB... but the most expensive were two pairs of SQ lavender OEGB's for 300 shipped... the cheapest bird i've had were some free silkies, and some other chickens...

i don't think i'd ever sell a bird for that much money... i'd feel like a jerk...

Have any photos of your Brazilians? I'm coming to be a huge fan of their dun, almost buff coloration, granted if they're upright and fierce enough looking.
