All my show birds we paid $10 each for, bought at around four months old from a local breeder. Can't have been more pleased with that buy! I also bought a four month old Australorp cockerel from the same breeder for 20$, but gave him back 'cause I had no hen for him. He's now blind in one eye, and still drop-dead gorgeous! I'd love to get some more of him!

Ive been unbelievably fortunate the most ive paid good quality show birds was $5... i guess its good to have connections (4-H Poultry Club)

i've sold a $350 Trio of birchen silkies at a local auction, and a friend of mine went to a royal show, and at the auction, a white muscovy duck sold for $700, and a drake from the same breeder went for $500!!

Bought an awesome lavender silkie roo in October that arrived sick with sinusitus infection... have spent about $487.00 on this roo counting purchase price, shipping, & meds.

$100.00 12 Bantam welsummer eggs half them hatched. Most I have evered paid for live chicken/rooster $15.00 BCM Roo it died ten days later
