What is the most friendly breed of duck?

Due to some heartbreaking losses of friends' flocks, I implore you to be very serious about security. Predators seem to prefer ducks, and will seem to come out of nowhere and exploit any weakness in the security.

Metal half inch hardware cloth is very helpful. So is electric fence. Please start considering how you need to set up for the ducks. They don't roost, they often sleep leaning against fences and are just so susceptible to predation.

I have Pekins and they are very friendly (and loud). Handle them often when they are young and you will have some very nice ducks. Mine follow me around the yard, come when called (for snacks), and hang out at the back door when they want to get my attention. They follow me into their coop at night so they can get locked up in the evening for safety. I've never had Muscovies, but I know they are also friendly and quiet.
