Sheep -- there are hair sheep and heat-and-parasite-adapted wool sheep that would suit your climate -- would mow your grass.

But sheep AND goats are both very, very vulnerable to attacks by dogs and coyotes. The big thing is predatorproof fencing, and that is not always 100% effective

We had goats at one time who cleared a couple acres of berry bushes for us. Our neighbors kept goats to make cheese.

how many hair sheep would i need per acre to keep the grass mowed. what else do you have to feed them? do u buy these sheep from breeders?
