The Kids just carved their pumpkins the other day. Nice big pumpkins. We carved them up and set them out on the porch steps. The kids were a little upset when they went out the next day and their pumpkins all had just tiny pieces of the bottoms left. It didn't take long and that was gone too.

The foam 'squeaks' & adds resistance when it's being chewed - so it's enjoyable/stimulating for the bird. Also incredibly bad for them.

I once worked with a human who munched on those styrofoam packing chips…. Not a joke, he really did...

Chickens are great mousers. I have seen them swallow mice whole. They can be terrible cannibals, too. I wouldn't feed them meat, deliberately. Definitely not chicken cooked or otherwise, as it encourages their desire for protein, and helps lead to cannibalism.

My chikens take raddle snakes and swollen them like worms, with lizards they tear the head off the body and eat both parts. I find it even stranger when they love to eat bananas ,tangerine, strawberry and as such

I was pretty gross, but cool. And my girls gorged down a fried chicken leg.
