What is the Top sought after Bantam breed?

The largest bantam classes in shows across the country are Old English Game Bantams followed usually by Cochin Bantams.

where i live i have found cochins are very popular. seramas also seem to be quite a hot item right now (as far as my reading on this site goes, i dont have any and have never seen one in person)

Here is the top 5 bantams shown in shows
1. Old English
2.Cochins
3.wyandottes
4. Plymouth rocks
5. Call ducks

2 3 and 4 might not be exact order but those are the top five shown at any show around the US

Honest? Are you saying this is part silkie? I ask because I have a roo that was given to me, "thrown in just to get rid of him," and was told he is half silkie. Here is mine:

Does this look to you like it could be 1/2 silkie?

Back on topic: I don't know the most saught after, but I can tell you what I would like. Actually, I prefer standard sized chickens. BUT, I really like the cochins, and Mille Fleur D'uccles. Of course the silkies and seramas are ever popular. Have you considered Nankins? They are on the endangered list, and really need some help. I would encourage you to check that list for other possibilities. Oh wait, you said, "for fun and beauty," not for breeding . Sorry... Well it is fun (and beautiful) to have breeding stock working toward the standard of perfection! Have fun looking, and good luck with whatever you decide!

He does not look like he has any silkie in him what so ever. He is handsome though.

around me, everyone wants old english bantams.

I prefer my buff plymouth rock bantams - and everyone who has seen them can't wait til they start to lay so they can buy eggs to hatch. I'd like some barred rock bantams, too - those are pretty.

I've had oegb, and I have bantam cochins, also (I like those too, but prefer my cochins in large fowl). Mille Fleurs are nice, but I wouldn't rush out to buy them.
