Ground hog for sure! Mine likes to eat chicken feed, and put holes in the electric fence. But mine has a name. So I don’t want my dad to shoot it, even though I know he should. Burgermeister is his name lolz. Not a danger to chickens but they’ll eat your chicken feed.

I think you should get rid of it. The tunnels they dig are very long and wide. Fox and small coyote can fit right in and eat your flock. They destroy pasture and can carry disease to your flock. They are a nasty biosecurity hazzard!

Thanks to all for the info... I haven't seen any signs of him (or her) being in the coop or chicken run, but don't want to take a chance. At this point it seems to like it under one of the sheds. What would be the best bait to get it into a trap (I've got a fairly large live trap), but don't want to use chicken feed... won't want to give it a taste for it if it doesn't have it already...
