Why does this Silkie here always make a point of reminding us how short we are?

Suzie, are Sprout and Pepper Silkie x Cochin crosses (or would you say Pekin rather than Cochin?) What ever their breed, they are adorable. I love chickens with little poof crests, and that tiny beard on Pepper is irresistible.
