I guess it makes Big Moe really cold-hardy! Ah, well. My hens still think he's a really handsome fellow (except for some of the older girls).

(by the way, three weeks ago she was very pale, shaky, fading, and lost her position at the top of the pecking order. We noticed her upper beak had gotten too long, hooked several millimeters over the lower beak, and eating was difficult. We trimmed it back, and within a few days she perked up. Look at her now!)

I'm one tough chick. I had beakoplasty without anesthesia or Novocaine. I'd like to see you do that.

Nope! No way. Never again. Next time use the Dremel or I can promise you ten bloody stumps!
