I'm telling you the truth, I laid an egg here this morning and now it's gone!

Boy, it's scary walking down that far. I'm sure glad it isn't metric, I'd never know how high it is.

Wish I had my camera with me last night when I went to lock the girls in. At noon I had been in the greenhouse and when I went out I didn't close the door all the way. So as I got to the gate to their yard I start to hear all this pecking and clucking. They were on the shelf in the greenhouse watching for me (panels are clear so they could see out). The four younger ones had gone in and the wind shut the door on them so they were not able to get out, when they seen me coming they let me know where they were. My dog on the other hand when she wanders in behind my DH will stand and stare at the door as if it will magically open. I have very smart hens. They had enough sense to let me know where they were, as soon as I opened the door they jumped down and ran into their yard and their coop.
