Tom has been arrested and is being held without bail due to the extreme violence and gruesome nature of this crime. Here he is pictured visiting one last time with the chicks before they are placed in protective custody pending an investigation into Gladys' role in this murder. Counsel for the defense has stated he is confident the children will be returned to Gladys soon as there appears to be no fowl play on her part. ~United Press

Breaking eggs news! More bodies found which might be related to the Dave Leghorn murder.

As more details emerge in this tragic story of betrayal, jealousy and rage that led to murder, the flock are gripped by the drama of the tale. Excavating at the site behind the barn has revealed more remains of chickens, which the coroner states are of 3, possibly 4, unidentified roosters. Here the CSI(Chicken Scene Investigators)team are inspecting the burial site for more clues to how these birds were slain.

Clues are being gathered from the whole community, as investigators don't know exactly how far this case will go. Here the local teenagers were questioned about what, if anything, they might have seen on the night of the crime.

Several witnesses have come forward to tell about the night of the murder, about the accused and his wife's wild lifestyle and about further clues to the bodies found behind the barn.

Pictured here is the accused at one of the many drunken and lewd parties he and his wife, Gladys, would throw, with police being called out several times to break up cockfights and pecking order issues at the residence.

Reporters have spoken with the accused, Tom, pictured here when he was allowed out in the yard for exercise. Tom disclosed how many times he has caught Gladys with other roosters and gave reporters some clues to how he has always had jealousy issues and trouble controlling his anger. Tom blames Gladys for his previous arrests for domestic violence and has hinted that she would be deeply implicated in this current crime when the case came to trial.

Attorney for the defense, B.P. Rock, pictured here, has advised her client to have no further comment for the press and has denied the press any further contact with her client, stating her client will be exonerated in the upcoming trial, but until then will divulge no more details about the case.

In this picture, taken just seconds before the police surrounded and captured him, the accused is shown hiding from police pursuit.

A police artist's drawing of the accused, as described by witnesses to the crime that night, shows the likeness of Tom with startling clarity. This sketch will be used as prosecution exhibit A in the upcoming case. This reporter will keep you posted on updates to the case as more bodies are exhumed behind the barn and as to how they may be related to the current case. ~United Press
