What is this hen thinking?

Don't understand…why is this molt turning me from redhead to a blonde?

My Jersey Giant started to molt on Wednesday. In four days, she's shed nearly every feather on her body except for her head and neck. What is my poor baby thinking? Besides, please don't let it be cold for the next few weeks till I grow in a few feathers.
