I have a newly hatched chick. It has to be within 24 hrs old. I heard the little guy this morning when checking on Mom. Tonight I wanted to see the baby and was surprised at what I found. Can anyone tell me anything???

Is this something that will go away or do I have to do something??? I've never seen this before but then again I haven't had much experience with hatching chicks.

Me too!!!! If I have to do something I'd rather do it sooner then later.

Is she up and about or just laying there?
Maybe by moving your post to the Emergencies section more folks will see your post quickly.....

Uh oh, poor little guy. I'm super new to chickies so I'm not any help but it looks intestinal-ish to me which probably isnt a good sign. But seriously, dont take my word for it, I'm clueless

It looks to be a cloacal prolapse. Intestine that is inside-out. Clean it w/warm soapy water and gently push it back in. Then pray it stays. After 3 tries if it insists on hanging out it is time to give up. A vet would do a "purse string" surgery (put a stitch in the external opening to keep the thing in). Good luck.
