What is this Duck thinking

WEEEEEEEE. HOW DO you cope with all the cute, round, sweet and funny wild visitors plus your own webs? I love that Zorro of Roundness is a tomboy. I have that pic of them on their floating house on my Mac at home.

It's hard not to get over excited they are all so cute! I threw food on the ice and there were SO MANY ducks! Omg I love them so much

Yesterday and today it froze and there was a little snow too. The ditch behind my house froze completely today so the ducks are now hanging around by the bridge. The water doesn't freeze as good there. Pootje the one-legged drake was there too, I was worried for him so I threw duck food on the ice and he could belly slide on the edge to get some. There were many ducks (including mine) so it was complete chaos.

I want to make something like that for my pond. Do they have any trouble getting up on it, or is there some kind of underwater ramp?
Tips would be greatly appreciated!

My uncle made it for me But sadly, the ducks don't sit in the house very often. The pallet has 2 boards/shelves on the bottom that stick out, they are under water and the ducks usually sit on those. They have no trouble getting on it, if you have a pallet and put boards on the sides and shelves on the bottom they should be just fine



Here is Eduard sitting on one of the bottom shelves, it's perfect for preening. The shelve is about 6 inch wide and sticks out a feet or so, when I take the house out of the water I will add more shelves because they totally love them.
I must warn you, your ducks might be frightened of the duck house at first

That's awesome. Thank you! And yes, mine are afraid of anything new. Or even just something moved. Lol! It even takes them a while to get in new straw when I throw more out

That Eduard is a very adorable boat. A floating round shaped burd of a boat in the water.

Nat, please note how cute Zorro's plump roundness tips the boat house because she's standing on it. That means she is a huggable bird.

I hope you can make something similar for your burds.

I know. Sometimes it's like a stimulation overload cuz they are all so cute and everything is going on at once and it's hard to take it all in. Like you just wanna pick them all up and squeeze them.

I do love your pictures. The one of Lilian seriously perusing the ground kills me.

I can hardly wait to see what you put up. And I always love your videos, too. The duck sliders were very funny.

Yea she is!!! She never let me pick her up before but the last 3-4 days she doesn't even run from me. She might even like being held!! Lol

It seems from the picture that she doesn't mind. Geez, I do not think I'd ever be able to put the little bitty duck gurl down.
