How old is your hen? New egg layers and older hens usually have these. Is it possible she may be going through a molt? Have you changed your hens diet at all?

Out of curiousity, did you or can you cut into that foreign thing that was in there? I'm wondering if it would be like lash material that somehow got in the egg. If so, it would be solid, and some say the inside of lash is hard and cheesy looking.

I'm not sure which one laid it. And yes the egg was bigger than any eggs the hens lay.

I'm not sure which hen laid the egg. But they're all just under 2 years old. We got them from a few different places. How old are they when they molt. I'm new to this whole thing. I want to learn everything to know cause I'm an animal lover and I don't want pain coming to any of them. And they're diet? Yes i recently got a few different types of wheat from someone. And I've also been introducing different foods(fruits, veggies, breads ect) no pasta, raw potatoes citrus or rotten anything. And black fly larva.

I don't know which hen, but yes it was larger than they usually lay
