what is this on my game-cam?

thats what scared me.it looks like a small cougar.we are not supposed to have those.

That 2nd photo of it seems to have stridations on it, making me think bobcat.
That last photo of it seems like young mountain lion.

Definately not a housecat because it seemed way too big as compared to the size of the crow in the same setting.

no we are not likely to have those.the last picture does look like a cat.i know the pics are in B/W but the contrast is still not like a domestic cat-mine are spotted, solid or striped, not like this.

Looks like an Abyssinian cat to me. They have dark tips on their tails, darker on the top, lighter on the bottom, etc. Look up pics online of them and see if that matches it.

i thought it had very faint stridations also but only in that 2nd pic.could it be a bobcat with a tail-but then it doesn't have enough stripes for a bobcat.

Looks like a young cougar to me too. You might want to run these pictures past your local Fish & Game Dept. They may be able to confirm it as well. Plus, they may know that cougars are now suspected in the area. These pictures may confirm that for them. Good luck.
