What is this pink and green stuff?

I’ve been artificially stratifying a bunch of native plant seeds in my fridge for a couple of weeks in paper towels in plastic bags. There isn’t much room in the fridge, so I stacked the bags on top of one another. I cut holes in the side of them and left the tops of the bags open, yet when I checked on them the other day I found this pink and green stuff staining the paper towels, especially the ones in the bags at the bottom of the stack. It’s not growing on the seeds necessarily, it’s randomly scattered around on the paper towel. Is it mold, and should I be concerned? If it is mold, are the seeds still salvageable? What should I do with them?

I would think it’s growth of something. Humidity and paper and air are excellent for microbial growth of some kind.

As for the seeds, I’m not sure. How long do you need them in the fridge?
