What is this sore?

I have a few newer birds that have developed this sore. What’s going on?

It might be an injury from a metal feeder or wire fencing. Is the nostril open on the opposite side?

Yes both nostrils are open. It’s just this bump on top and it’s just the newer birds

I would watch it to see if it heals. A dab of Betadine might be good to put on it.

Do you think it could be contagious or more of an injury

This is a common place for this type of injury. If she had more scabs I would want to rule out fowl pox, but it only occurs when mosquitoes (the carriers) are out in hot weather.
