What is this sound my female Duck is making?

I checked her out tonight. I pulled a couple feathers from her nares which were a little mucousy. There were feathers also stuck to the corners of her beak and it seemed Inside her mouth seemed mucky. When I had her mouth open I could definitely hear her breathing which sounded congested.

I have this Germe-zone stuff it’s a germicidal and antiseptic to be used in drinking water for the prevention of diseases through water(more so for simple diarrhea & bowel trouble) or right on cuts/abrasions. For use in baby chickens, poults, swine, horses, cattle & sheep. Do you think it’s worth a try or would there be something out there better suited if this does not clear up on its own?

How is your duck today any change in her voice? @Kholts
I gave the Germe-zone as directed (so only 1 dose so far) and as of this morning I have not heard that noise from her. I also haven’t heard any chest congestion I was hearing a yesterday either.

This morning she came out of the coop with her nares completely full of feathers again but flushed them herself within a half hour.

I’m starting to wonder if it’s perhaps the weather (chill in the air for fall & it’s been wet & foggy) as well as all the preening for their mould.

I’m going to continue to dose for this week every 2nd day as stated and keep an eye on all of them.

Well I was outside with the ducks for over an hour and have not heard my Saxony make that noise nor did I hear anyone of them cough or wheeze so I am hoping I’m in the clear!

I of course will still be watching them closely and I’m giving 1 more dose of the germ zone.
