What is this stuff on my chick's nails/feet?

Warm soak on the feet... See if it comes off... Looks like poop.... I may be wrong, but I think poop. I hope poop, cuz I have no idea otherwise.

It's a mixture of mud/poop. Soak the feet and gently work it off. I would refresh litter after you clean the feet....

Thanks! Got the stuff off, took more soaking than I thought it would. I'm just glad it wasn't some sort of growth
