This is a long shot, but is there any chance it is an escaped ferret? It's long like a mink (my most hated predator), but the light-colored fur on the face isn't right -- at least for the minks around here. It doesn't look quite right for a weasel or a marten, in my opinion.

Whatever it is, it needs to GO AWAY! Hope all your poultry stays safe.

A ferret was my thought as well. Could be a skunk I suppose but the white part doesn’t seem quite right for that either.

Also, I don't think the tail is bushy enough for most skunks.

You're right about seeing less white on the face. I'm still leaning towards some sort of weasel-ly critter. If it's a mink, they tend to like to hang around a water source -- in my case, a dredge ditch nearby -- and males like to have an exclusive, miles-territory. I have no experience dealing with other members of that family.
