what is this tiny chick?

Came out of a TSC bin labeled for marans pullets and golden comet pullets....

White fuzz down feet, small chick. not very happy right now, he just had a case of pasty butt washed off, and I gave a few drops of Nutri drench by mouth.

We got hit by chicken math. Tsc had birds 60% off and so we grabbed all 25 from the marans/golden comet bin, and quite a few from the bin with straight run barred rocks and asians. The pullets at least are obviously mislabelled.

Looks like a red bantam cochin.

It has feathered legs so almost certainly a bantam cochin.

Cochin

I'm having a hard time figuring out the color, though. Post pics of the comb and a full body pic at 6 weeks, to tell the gender and color.

Is that a pea or single comb? I find it rather hard to tell.

Single = Cochin, and pea = Brahma.

Overall colors bring to mind Buff Brahma, with the exception of white down.

Chick isn't doing so hot. Thought we had lost him 2x tonight and each time I revived him. Cross your fingers he makes it through the night. He just is so little he kept getting trampled, then he fell in the plate of fermented feed, got soaked and chilled and almost died. warmed him in my hands as fiancee heated water, gave him a warm bath and set him on a heat pad, but that wasn't good enough and he needed reviving a 2nd time... ugh. I hate this. I hope he pulls through. Have him in a box in the brooder where he is nice and warm but cant get trampled. Peeping and coming more and more around. I almost culled him at one point until he started reviving in my hands after the first chill.

Feathers are too light for gold colouring, appears more like the buff Columbian colouring of a Buff Brahma bantam
